Celebrating the Class of 2009

This May, 724 students celebrated the culmination of years of hard work as they graduated from Goizueta Business School: 4 PhD’s in business, 33 Modular Executive MBAs, 98 Weekend Executive MBAs, 217 Full-Time MBAs, 88 Evening MBAs, and 284 BBAs.

Award-winning faculty

Shehzad Mian, associate professor of finance, is the 2009 winner of the Marc F. Adler Prize for Excellence in Teaching. The Adler Prize honors outstanding teaching quality, course innovation, and relevance to real-world problem solving in all Goizueta programs over a three-year period and is awarded by a committee of alumni. Emory Center for Alternative Investments Executive Director Klaas Baks received the Emory Williams Award for Distinguished Teaching. Excellence in teaching awards also went to Allison Burdette and Clifton Green (BBA), Gary Hecht and Ray Hill (Full-Time MBA), Kristy Towry and Patrick Noonan (Evening MBA), and Shehzad Mian (WEMBA and MEMBA).
