Dear alumni and friends,

It is hard to find just the right words to describe the whirlwind of activities and the level of excitement at Goizueta Business School.

Walk through the corridors and you may see Steve Rosenburg, president of USA Networks, or Herb Allen, president of the investment bank Allen & Company Inc., sharing their insights with students. On another floor, tension builds as the Goizueta Marketing Strategy Competition gets under way. Around the corner, a BBA tells friends about his semester spent studying and working in Hong Kong. Jenkins Courtyard is filled with MBAs sharing photographs and anecdotes from their Lead Week study modules in Asia, Africa, and South America. Upstairs, Knowledge@Emory, Goizueta's online business publication produced in collaboration with The Wharton School, is launching globally.

In this issue of Goizueta Magazine we bring you those stories, and we spotlight the business ventures of some of our outstanding alumni. We also unveil the Leadership Alliance, a three-year, $50-million fund-raising initiative with the potential to move Goizueta to the top of business education.

One-half of the Leadership Alliance funds will enrich intellectual capital and create new value for Goizueta's constituents, and the other half will provide space for the school's expansion--an expansion designed not to get bigger, but to get better.

With the momentum the school has already built, the Leadership Alliance can make Goizueta a world-class leader and enhance Goizueta degrees in ways unimaginable.

Over the next several months you will hear more about the Leadership Alliance, and we will call on you for your continued support of Goizueta Business School.

Sincerely,

Thomas S. Robertson
