Alumni get around

Club kickoff

The new BBA Alumni Association kicked off Feb. 26 at Cherry in Atlanta. Spearheading the association are Wes Lambert ’00BBA and Danielle Lieb ’99BBA, who plan to build the group with the help of area coordinators in the South, West, Midwest, and Northeast. By focusing on upcoming graduates, the founders hope to form a foundation that will provide strong support for the association and the school.

Bacardi and Coke

The first Law School and Goizueta Business School “rum and Coke” party was held in March to the beat of a steel drum (right). The event, complete with the band Tropical Breeze, was organized to broaden the relationships with Emory Law School and to welcome the 2002 law and business graduates to the alumni ranks.

Big Apple

More than 120 alumni and students gathered at the NY Yacht Club Jan. 14 to reconnect, network, and hear C. Robert (Rob) Henrikson’s ’72L insight on “MetLife: Transformation to a Public Company.” Henrickson is president of the institutional business department of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and the MetLife Inc. executive officer who oversees the MetLife Bank. The event is held each year as MBA and BBA students flock to NY for Lead Week and fact-finding trips.

Top-ten celebration

Business Week, Financial Times, and U.S. News & World Report consistently rank Goizueta’s Executive MBA Program among the top programs in the world. EMBA students, alumni, staff, and faculty crowded BluePointe in Atlanta to celebrate its continued success.

Over the past year, alumni gatherings were held in cities worldwide, including London, Tokyo, Chicago, Austin, and Los Angeles. Visit the alumni website to see where Goizueta is heading next.
