Dear Goizueta alumni and friends,
I write to you today as I reflect on my first full year as director of alumni relations for Goizueta Business School. This year has been a wonderful experience. One of the most rewarding and enjoyable aspects of alumni work is the face-to-face interaction with you, the alumni and friends of Goizueta. You share your successes and prove to me daily that you are committed to providing value to the 11,000-plus Goizueta alumni as well as our current students, while helping to grow the remarkable reputation of the school.
As Goizueta alumni, you play an integral role in our mission. It is through the efforts of alumni volunteers that we continue to grow the Goizueta community in Atlanta and around the world. I want to thank those alumni who already have stepped up to become leaders and volunteers—you make all the difference. I also would like to encourage others to get actively involved in the Goizueta community. The opportunities are many.
With your participation and support, we can grow our regional alumni clubs, Goizueta Groups, and provide innovative, regional programming. We also can ensure the success of our graduating students, as they get ready to face the demanding and challenging business environment. You can become a mentor or help the Career Management Center with mock interviews, resume reviews, and even student placement. And, at the beginning of the cycle, you can assist with the admissions process. By referring and talking with prospective students, you can help the Admissions Office get the most qualified people admitted to our programs from the start.
I invite you to get more involved today. For more information on how you can make a difference, please visit http://www.goizueta.emory.edu/alumni/index.asp or contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@bus.emory.edu. And don’t forget, the first and easiest way to get involved
is by making sure you stay connected. Please take a minute and update your record at http://www.goizueta.emory.edu/alumni/update_address.html or call Lisa Dupre in our office
at 404.727.6938.
Best wishes for success and happiness in 2004.
